Indications
It was used in respiratory and genitourinary tract infections, otitis, cellulitis and secondary bacterial conditions associated with virus disease or post operative infections, swine dysentery, erysipelas and enzootic pneumonia in pigs, foul in the foot, mastitis and calf pneumonia in cattle.
Administration and Dosage
By subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Pigs, cattle and poultry: Each 1ml for 15-40 kg body weight IM (5-13mg tylosin per 1kg bodyweight)
Dogs and cats: Each 1ml for 18-25 kg body weight IM (8-11mg tylosin per 1kg bodyweight)
Adverse Reaction
Tylosin may cause diarrhea in some animals. Skin reactions have been observed in pigs. Administration to horses has been fatal.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
Do not administer to horses. Avoid intravenous administration. Do not inject more than 10 mL in one intramuscular site.
Keep out of reach of children.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Pig: 4 days.
Cattle: 21 days.
Not to be used in lactating cattle.
Storage
Seal and store in a dry place.
