Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine used in the treatment of allergies, insect bites or stings and other causes of itching. It is also used for its sedative and antiemetic effects in the treatment of motion sickness and travel anxiety. It is also used for its antitussive effect.
Do not use in cases of acute glomerular nephritis renal failure with anuria, electrolyte deficiency disease or overdosage with digitalis.
Do not use concurrently with aminoglycoside antibiotic treatment.
The therapeutic effect may be impaired by increased intake of drinking water. So far as the patient’s condition allows, the amount of drinking water should be restricted.
Too rapid injection in dogs may cause staggering and vomiting.
Horse:
For intravenous administration.
0.5-1.0 mg furosemide per kg body weight;
Cattle:
For intravenous administration.
0.5-1.0 mg furosemide per kg body weight;
Dog/Cat:
For intravenous or intramuscular administration.
2.5-5.0 mg furosemide per kg body weight.
For meat: 28 days
For milk: 24 hours
